CELEBRATE ASPIRING NURSE LEADER WEEK - NOVEMBER 3-9! Commit yourself to
the important work of nurturing new nurse leaders and those nurses who
aspire to nursing leadership positions by celebrating Aspiring Nurse Leader Week -
November 3-9, 2002.
During this week, we encourage all nurse leaders to
actively advocate and demonstrate the benefits and rewards of holding a
nursing leadership position. Posted on the AONE web site (listed below) is an idea sheet to
help you get started, as well as two new mentoring publications. Also, the AONE are
hosting a nationwide audioconference, "L-E-A-D-E-R: How Do You Spell
Success in Your Professional Nursing Career?", on Tuesday, November 5. Featured
faculty include several veteran nurse executives who will discuss their
careers in nursing leadership and the critical factors that have led to
their career successes.
Host this program at your facility and invite
your aspiring nurse leaders to attend. Continuing education credit will be
available.
